“There’s a storm coming, Mr. Wayne…”
Wow. To go along with the awesome poster, this movie looks seriously epic. Totally unlike any Batman film that came before, including The Dark Knight. That scene in the football stadium…
Christopher Nolan really pulled out all the stops. And while I’m still not 100% sold on Anne Hathaway as Catwoman (she’s somewhere between the lows of Halle Berry and the heights of Michelle Pfeiffer in my eyes), I do like her dialogue here.
Can’t wait.
The football stadium scene was actually the one thing I didn’t like. The effect doesn’t look that great, in my opinion. And there’s a very similar shot in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, where again, the effect doesn’t look that great.
It’s hard to tell in an already bad-quality version of the trailer… or perhaps I am used to almost every special effect in movies these days looking fake. Conceptually, though, I think it’s cool that this Batman is on a bigger scale than any of the others. We’ll see how it works in the actual movie. I mean, I’d prefer the more intimate menace of the Joker than a big SFX-a-thon… but this looks like it might have both.
Yeah, I agree that the scale of a city under siege is cool. Definitely looking forward to seeing how it comes together.
